Sponsor a Family

For many years, Calvary members have provided Christmas presents for families in need. Every family member receives presents specifically chosen for them. The families are selected and the presents distributed by Lutheran Social Services (LSS).

Meals on Wheels

Church members volunteer to deliver Meals On Wheels in Edina on the second Thursday of each month.

Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP)

Calvary supports VEAP by collecting food items at the church and delivering them to VEAP. We also support collections for their "Back to School" and Thanksgiving "Build a Bag" programs.

Operation Christmas Child

Each fall Calvary members participate in the Operation Christmas Child program of Samaritans Purse. Congregation members fill one or more shoe boxes with gifts for needy children around the world. Each shoe box is given to one child. Once all the boxes are collected, Calvary youth and adults help prepare the boxes for shipping at the local collection site in Chanhassen.

Calvary Crafters

A group of crafters meet at Calvary to knit and crochet items that are donated to missions.

Our Savior Housing

Calvary supports Our Saviors Housing by providing meals. Some congregation members purchase the groceries, some prepare the meal at Calvary, and others deliver and serve the meal. Both adults and youth participate in this project. Contact the church office for our current schedule.
