Rev. Jerome F. Larson

I am a retired pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. I most rececently served as the pastor at at Calvary Lutheran Church in Edina, Minnesota. I grew up in Minnesota and graduated from St. Olaf College in 1961. At St. Olaf I majored in both Speech and History. After graduating from Luther Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN, I began the ministry in North Battleford Saskcatchewan, Canada. During the Viet Nam conflict I served as a Chaplain on the Pacific island of Wake . Following four years of chaplaincy I returned to Minnesota and have served parishes in Princton and Richfield, MN.

In 1992 I entered the Doctor of Ministry program at Luther Seminary with the goal of developing a system for preaching that would lead Pastors away from the reading of sermons. I completed my thesis in 1997 and graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota with the Doctor of Ministry degree.

During the past eight years I have taught the process preaching system to several pastors on an individual basis. With this experience I have been able to develop the system further and have produced a 75 page manual that is now available by contacting me directly. I am very enthusiastic about the Process Preaching System and I am eager to talk to pastors about process preaching and welcome your questions.
